There is something undeniably alluring about the rich, woody notes of Oud perfumes. Often referred to as "liquid gold," Oud perfumes have been revered for centuries due to their unique and captivating aroma.
Oud is an intensely fragrant oil extracted from tree resin. In perfumery, it is often used as a base note – its signature depth and rich animalic aroma provide a sensual, woody dry down. With its earthy notes and intriguing character, oud perfumes are synonymous with seduction.

Oud is expensive due to its rarity and the intensive, labor-intensive process required to harvest it. Specifically, the agarwood tree, from which oud is derived, only produces oud (the fragrant resin) when infected with a fungus, and this happens in only a small percentage of the trees. Additionally, it takes a significant amount of time for a tree to be old enough to produce oud, and the amount of oud a tree produces varies greatly. The combination of rarity, the complex harvesting process, and high demand drives up its price, often exceeding the price of gold.
